Not in this case they didn't. These were done really quickly, and then colored later in Photoshop. When working in public I often tend to get a lot of weird comments and distracting questions. It's best to be somewhat covert. Sometimes I'll just make a few quick squiggles and notes, and then try and make sense of it all later. But this only works when what I'm looking at is still fresh in my mind.
