This was a very quick drawing I did from life with a Sharpie about a month ago, I think. Sometimes I like to work with markers on that slightly slick paper most color copiers are stocked with.
The orange and yellow sandy texture is a free Photoshop brush I found online somewhere. The pants and blouse are full of mistakes and look way better in real life. The scribble around my name was done later and had to be cleaned up bit by bit in Photoshop, and still doesn't look right to me.
The hair highlights came from looking at way too many Archie comics as a kid.
I haven't seen "El Tigre" yet, but I caught a little preview some time ago and it looks really fun.. Frida is a great-looking character, very well-designed.

Nice, Marc! How did you do the textures?
Thanks, Jeff!

I like those long gangly fingers. WEIRD!
(Thanks David,
but they were there when I showed up)
This is pretty!
Thank you, Kate Rice!
